ALL MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED, you just need to bring some small items.
Items to bring:
Lunch for the day class (coffee and biscuits will be provided).
Apron/ old clothes
Some round brushes one small and one medium (used for blending with solvent if you choose to).
Complete beginners and intermediate members are welcome. The workshop term will take you through the process of using PanPastels much like you would use acrylic paints to paint a bird of your choice, the pencils will be used for detailing. You may bring along any reference you choose, and I also have quite a few references available too, try and pic a reference with as much detail as possible. Here is one of my online YouTube videos if you would like an idea of what we will be doing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dUmxlwi2bw&index=5&list=PLveDolHVgayTO-CKhgr88yrjIjLcoZm27 (PLEASE NOTE: We are not going to get as detailed and specific as the video, we are going to be loose and have fun, we'll try and bring your own style out of your work). PanPastels are so user friendly you can manipulate and change it over and over again until you have found the happy spot.
Once you are finished with your painting I will show you how you can cut a matt board frame for it and attach it to a foam backing and then place it in a large protective sleeve until you choose to frame it or simply varnish it. I will be guiding you through the entire process as much as I can and I guarantee you will have a lovely time.
